Jill Guzas
I wrote (and illustrated) my first book when I was six years old. Of course, it has never been published, but I was very proud. Over the years, I have been a student, a tutor, a scientist, and a teacher.
With over twenty years of editing experience, I have worked with student essays and scientific journal articles as well as manuscripts preparing for publication, both fiction and non-fiction. While most of my clients are authors looking to self-publish, I also assist in preparing manuscripts for submission to academic journals or agent queries. In January 2025, I was appointed director of the Christian Editors Association's annual Editors' Choice Award, a contest that awards books not only for their content but for their superior editing. Serving as first a judge and now director has helped hone my editing and proofreading skills so I can offer my clients a superior service.
When I'm not editing, I like to write my own stories. One of my books, Camp Piquaqua, which I also edited, was a finalist in the 2021 Independent Publishers of New England Book Awards. My list of published works include children's picture books, middle grade fantasy, young adult romance and drama, cozy mysteries, and sweet romances.
Some clients may know me under my penname, Ashleigh Stevens. However, in 2024, I decided to resume editing under my real name. I am still providing the same service, just under a different name.
I look forward to working with you.
